Job Description Some of the duties will include:
|
- Educating various members of the communities (incl. minority ethnic) on the 5 pillars of Islam
- Teaching children how to pray
- Teaching
prayer supplements
- Coordinating/Organising multi-faith programmes to bring Christians, Jews, Muslims and people of other faiths/no faith together.
- Delivering
sermons and having the ability to make some videos and other platforms using technology
- Coordinating/Organising
multi-faith programmes to bring people of other faiths/no faith together
- Run
courses/seminars on Understanding Christianity & Islam for the organisation
- Supporting
minority religions in promoting human rights, religious freedom &
equality
- Coordination
of counter extremism programmes for women, children & youth through
various preventative and diversionary programmes
- The
Minister of Religion need to be flexible for other duties
- Supporting
engagement with schools, local authorities, police services, other
organisations to teach principles of Islam, etc.
- Offering
guidance/advice to local communities especially given the COVID-19 pandemic
- Working
with the guidance from previous Minister of Religion Reverend Khan

Personal Specification
|

Must be
fluent in English and Urdu, Punjabi will be positive
-
Master
degree holder from a recognised university (minimum
qualification is undergraduate)

Adequate
knowledge of inter-religious relations
|
